Parking update

We’ve got some great news! All Westgate Leisure Centre customers and members will now benefit from 3 hours of free parking, up from the previous 2-hour allowance. It’s just one more way we’re making your visits more convenient and enjoyable.

A new Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) parking system will be installed on Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd July. The installation is expected to take two days, although the car park will remain open during this time. We kindly ask customers to take extra care while the installation is taking place, as contractors will be working on site.

The new parking system will be in operation from Wednesday 22nd July.

What does this mean for customers?

Claiming your free parking is quick and easy. Just register your vehicle using one of the methods available inside the centre, whether that's tapping, scanning, or using an iPad. You'll find registration points at Reception, the Gym, and at the Crèche, along with other key places in the centre making it easy to register wherever you are.

Even better, your free parking benefit can be used more than once a day! After your initial 3 hours of free parking, you're welcome to return later and enjoy another 3 hours free. Simply allow 30 minutes between visits before re-entering the car park.

We hope this new parking system makes your visits even easier, giving you more time to enjoy the centre and helping ensure parking spaces are available when you need them.
