Carers Policy

As part of our mission to support the health and wellbeing of everyone in our community, we are pleased to give Carers free access to Bourne Leisure Centre to support children or adults with disabilities take part in activities at our centre and other centres in the Leisure Solutions Community Trust contract including any gym, swimming, fitness classes and sports hall activities.

Carers must provide evidence they are an official Carer for example from a local authority letter or Carer Card provided by the local authority. Carers include Young Carers who are aged between 9 and 17. Please note all under 8's must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 16 or over, including Carers under the age of 8 in line with our Admissions Policy. A maximum of two Carers are allowed free access to the centre per each individual with a disability attending the centre, with a supporting DLA letter clearly specifying that the disabled individual requires 2 carers.
